Turkish Airlines officially opens its new lounge at Edinburgh Airport. It's the airline’s first lounge in Europe outside its iconic Istanbul hub and the eighth worldwide beyond Turkey.
CDA has been working with Pacific Building Ltd, on behalf of Turkish Airlines / Plaza Premium Group, for the alterations to their Lounge at Edinburgh Airport. The 7,000 sq ft lounge can accommodate 150 guests. Designed with intention and care, the lounge is divided into distinctive zones that enhance every facet of the guest experience.
The design includes new facilities comprising of Ablutions and Prayer Rooms and a new Nursery Room, along with refurbishment elements to the reception, VIP Lounge, lower Lounge and Family Room.
The lounge offers a premium experience with facilities including an open buffet area, a luxury relaxation area with TVs, Wi-Fi, an accessible restroom for the guests with reduced mobility, and flight information screens.
Turkish Airlines Chief Operations Officer, M. Akif Konar, commented: “This new lounge in Edinburgh is an important milestone for us. It is our first lounge in Europe outside Türkiye and shows how seriously we take our European network.”
The phased works programme has been carried out whilst the Lounge continued to trade uninterrupted and was completed on time and within budget.
