Qube 2 Metrocentre, Gateshead

This major expansion, remodelling and refurbishment project transformed the former Mediterranean Village into a new food-led mall destination within Metrocentre.

The scheme introduced 12 new restaurant units linking the Yellow Qube and Red Mall, responding directly to demand for larger-format units from leading operators. The design approach carefully balanced transformation with practicality, retaining as much of the existing structure as possible while extending over service areas to enlarge the floorplate.

The project was delivered in phases to ensure continuity of trading and unit uninterrupted public access throughout construction.
