Eagle House, South Ruislip

This development proposes to demolish the existing vacant Eagle House office building in South Ruislip, with a view to creating a new four-storey building for hotel use.

South Ruislip is a priority target location for Travelodge, particularly with the site being adjacent to Odyssey Business Park currently occupied by national and international firms. The proposed hotel will serve South Ruislip and the surrounding areas. In these wards there is a deficiency in terms of good quality, budget hotel accommodation for businesses, and family/friend visitors. Travelodge envisages that that the site will also act as a convenient base from which to travel to central London.

The site adjoins Odyssey Business Park to the west and the Transport for London railway line to the north east. The immediate surrounding area includes the retail and leisure complex development on the Old Dairy Site beyond the railway line and the RAF Northolt airfield to the South West of the site. CDA has been instrumental in dealing with the multiple challenges the neighbouring sites have presented, particularly the height restriction imposed by the RAF and the security issues relating to access to the TFL railway line.
