The Haymarket development is one of the biggest commercial property projects to take place in Edinburgh and will regenerate the West End of the city; transforming 4 acres of derelict land into a new business district. Just over 350,000 sq ft. of premium Grade A office space will be created.
CDA are design team leaders for two of the three offices proposed: “tHe 1” and “tHe 4”; both with flexible open plan accommodation. tHe 1, is approx. 180,000 sq ft. and is the central building on site. It features a 7 storey glazed atrium, with internal bridges. Car parking and facilities for cyclists are provided at basement level, with shower and changing facilities, designed to private health club standard. tHe 4 is approx. 75,000 sq ft. over six storeys and sits on a prominent position on the corner of Morrison Street and Morrison Link. This office will define the development, when viewed from the EICC.
All office buildings have a mix of retail, food and leisure units located at ground level, and are finished in sandstone cladding with aluminium and glass curtain walling.Download project card (3.7 MB pdf)
