East Kilbride Town Centre
A major long term programme of improvements totalling around £350M based on a masterplanning exercise to remove redundant elements, provide major new retail and leisure anchors, relocate the council’s offices and form a hub of community facilities which integrate with a new civic space at the heart of the shopping centre. Retail, car parking and pedestrian access will also be reworked and enhanced.
The proposals involve complex phasing considerations to maintain public access and retail trading throughout the sequence of works. Originally commissioned by the Land Sec / Land Securities consortium, CDA were retained by the subsequent owners, Propinvest.
