Waterfront Avenue Waterfront Avenue

CDA gained planning permission in early 2017 for this residential development in the Granton area of Edinburgh on behalf of our client Places for People. The brownfield site forms part of a wider masterplan for the regeneration of the area, with works due to start mid-2017.

The development comprises a mix of one and two bedroom apartments alongside three and four bedroom family townhouses. The buildings have been designed to maximise views towards the waterfront, with the apartments and townhouses arranged around a central landscaped courtyard area. The townhouses will each have their own private garden deck, and the majority of the apartments have their own private balcony or terrace.

A simple, high quality palette of materials will be used throughout the development. The primary material is a mixture of buff and light grey coloured brickwork with areas of dark stained timber strip cladding used to soften the balcony areas. Dark grey metal cladding panels will be used as an accent material for canopies and balconies. These materials have been chosen to complement those used within the surrounding area.
