Torphichen Street, Edinburgh

CDA obtained planning permission in June 2017 for a new 150 bedroom hotel on Torphichen Street in Edinburgh on behalf of Axcel Group.

Occupying a previously vacant brownfield site, the hotel will turn the corner of Torphichen Street and Dewar Place with a curved façade of high quality materials including stone and zinc cladding. The street frontage features extensive full height glazing activated with a bar and restaurant open to both guests and visitors.

The design is informed by the varied urban context in the West End of Edinburgh and the proposed Exchange 2 masterplan.
