CDA has been appointed to lead the redevelopment of Edinburgh One, an existing 6 storey office building (constructed in late 2000) in central Edinburgh. The proposal breathes new life in to the building allowing the mass with the proposed 2 storey roof extension to relate and respond to its complex setting sat between the neighbouring Atria Building and the 19th century tenement buildings on to Lothian Road.

The existing building provides 54,000sqft of net office accommodation and the proposal which extends the building frontage over first floor and above along with the 2 storey rooftop extension will provide a further 33,000sqft of net office accommodation.

The stone clad elevations are informed by the scale and proportions of the neighbouring tenement buildings echoing the rhythm of solid to glass. The upper floors will be distinctly modern in appearance to relate to recent new builds in the immediate vicinity.
