124-125 Princes Street, Edinburgh
CDA was commissioned by F&C Reit to look at the existing building at 124-125 Princes Street, which had a mix of retail at the lowest three levels, a deck of car parking above and five floors of offices above the parking in order to see what improvements could be made to both the retail and office space. The retail unit was empty as was the majority of the office space.
The works included the extension of the office lift to ground floor (greatly improving accessibility), the formation of a new modern reception space, plus the upgrade of the main stair, all common parts and the office floors themselves. The works were all carried out with some office tenants in occupation.
The retail space was completely reconfigured to suit new tenant Urban Outfitters with CDA designing all shell and enabling works including forming new holes formed in ground floor slab and upgrade of building fabric.
